GUIDELINES FOR DISTRIBUTION

Cement Storage and handling
4) Rate of water/Cement = ½
5) Use clean stone, sand and water with no saline, alum and organic impurities.
6) Concrete should covered and kept moisture in 3 weeks.
The following steps will help to prolong the shelf life of cement.
7) Cement should be stored in a weather proof shed or container.
8) Store on pallets off the floor minimize 20cm , preferably with a plastic sheet under the pallets.
9) Stack close together to minimize air circulation.
10) Keep the cement away from doors and windows .
11) Stack away from walls minimize 10cm.
12) Handle bags carefully and do not walk on bags in order to reduce breakages and dust nuisance.

Safety
- Do not stack bags more than 10 high.
- Do not stack more than two pallets high.
- Pick up bags correctly in order to avoid back injury.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing as cement and cement paste are highly alkaline and can cause severe chemical burns as well as skin irritation and dermatitis.

Best used before 60 days from the date of manufacture

Introduction
